Overboard Person Recovery
| The easy way to recover a person in the water (PIW) into the dory. The main points are: Use the side away from the driving controls Turn off the engine! The weight of the driver, assistant and PIW all on the same side reduces the freeboard, making recovery much easier The PIW reaches into the dory with arm and hooks his heel over the gunwale The driver and assistant help roll the PIW up into the dory |
